Tioga Trip - 2010

We spent a weekend at Hills Creek State Park in Tioga County. There we enjoyed a relaxing weekend enjoying the peace, fall colors, and riding the Tioga Central Railroad. We also spent an enjoyable day strolling down the trail that runs along Pine Creek. We explored the Tiadaghton section that runs through Colton Point State Park.

As we take an early morning stroll in Hill Creek State Park the girls stop for a loving smooch. We like to spend at least one long weekend at this park, exploring the surrounding countryside.

Freja enjoys the scenery as we ride the Tioga Central Railroad. We had the open car completely to ourselves for most of the trip. That meant no worries about just letting her run and have fun. While the fall colors were past peak by about a week, it didn’t matter to us.

We went for a long walk along the Pine Creek Gorge Trail, starting in Tiadaghton. Since she can’t ride a bike yet we take along her big stroller, loaded down with all sorts of gear and food. In this photo the coat she’s wearing was hand made by Flavia Zortea just for her.
