A Natural Inclination
Exploring the wonders of the natural world with my camera is truly one of my pleasures. The life sciences have always intrigued me and I was very fortunate to have spent many years working at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. There I was surrounded by brilliant minds that studied various scientific disciplines.

These two photo were taken nearly 100 years apart. To the left is an early photo of a guard soon after Dinosaur Hall opened. To the right is a photo I took of the last guards to watch the hall before being completely taken down and replaced.

The Beauty of Birds
Aside from the view, one of the pleasures of relaxing at any of the overlooks in Wyalusing State Park is the chance to see wildlife. On a cold March day in 2013 I decided to drive to the park to see what the confluence of the Mississippi & the Wisconsin Rivers looked like in winter. As I stood looking out over the terrain this Bald Eagle came soaring along the ridge. The head winds were strong enough that it flew by slowly, giving me a chance to really take in the beauty of this bird.
