Common Pheasant

Aside from the view, one of the pleasures of relaxing at any of the overlooks in Wyalusing State Park is the chance to see wildlife. On a cold March day in 2013 I decided to drive to the park to see what the confluence of the Mississippi & the Wisconsin Rivers looked like in winter. As I stood looking out over the terrain this Bald Eagle came soaring along the ridge. The head winds were strong enough that it flew by slowly, giving me a chance to really take in the beauty of this bird.
