Freja has some ideas for her Halloween mask this year. I am going to try to make her mask from scratch. My first step was to create a plaster skullcap that I can use to make a base to build from. First I put a shower cap on the kid, the edges tapped down. Then she got a coating of Vaseline as a release agent. The cap is made from plaster gauze, with large washers embedded into the edges before/behind her ears, and along the back edge. These will be where I create anchor points for the chin straps, and neck covering.
There's nothing like a fresh ground/brewed cup of coffee, made just like at home, while you're camping. We'd set up in Tennison Bay campground, located on the western side of Peninsula State Park. Thankfully we had our screened in dinning fly to ward off the swarms of insects that inhabit the park.
