Freja has really missed her cousin.
The sun warmed darker objects in the ice, melting their outlines around them. The kids enjoyed picking them up, and my daughter actually found a working Droid someone had dropped! We turning it to the park office, and the owner let me know they recovered it.
The ice was still very thick, and the kids enjoyed running on it.
